    Abstract
The experiment was conducted on “Cobb-500” strain of broiler chicks to study the effect of commercial probiotic (BIO-TOP ®) and natural probiotic (Curd) on growth performances and haemato-biochemical parameters. A total of fifteen (15) broiler chicks (16 days old) were randomly divided into three equal groups (n=5). Two groups of broilers chicks were fed BIO-TOP ® and Curd separately at the rate of 2 gm/kg with commercial broiler feed for 22 days. Broiler chicks that were fed only commercial feed considered as control group. The results showed that live weight of broiler chicks were gained that were treated with BIO-TOP ® compared to those that were fed curd and commercial feed (control group). After having completed the trial, the birds were sacrificed and collect blood sample for hematological and biochemical analysis. Increased dressed weight, weight of skin including feathers, leg weight, breast weight and liver weight were found higher in treated groups compared to control group. Total erythrocytes count, hemoglobin content and ESR value were found to increase in treated groups compared to control group. Total cholesterol, triglycerides and High density lipoprotein (HDL) was found to decreased significantly in the treated groups compared to control group. The serum alkaline phosphatase was significantly increased in treated groups compared to controls. Further investigations are necessary to determine the effect of BIO-TOP ® and Curd on growth performance and haemato-biochemical parameters of broiler chicks.
