The aim of the present study was to evaluate the comparative efficacy of different anthelmintics like Albendazole, Levamisole and combined preparation of Levamisole and Triclabendazole against liver fluke and GI parasites in sheep and to determine the influence of these preparations on haematological parameters during the period from January 2015 to February2015.For this purpose a total of 28 sheep were selected which were suspected to suffer from single or mixed parasitic infestation. These 28 sheep were divided into 4 equal groups (G0, G1, G2and G3) each of which containing 7 sheep. Faecal samples were collected from 28 sheep and were examined for the determination of EPG. Three types of bolusof 3 different renowned companies of Bangladesh were used.Collected data were entered into Microsoft Excel Worksheet for performing descriptive statistics to calculate mean and standard error among the three anthelmintic preparations. P-value was determined by computer using statistical package programmed SPSS. The temperature of the treated and control sheep were almost within normal range before and after treatment. Among these three drugs the highest efficacy was found in case of Endex® (Levamisole+Triclabendazole) which reduced EPG count to 86.15% and lowest efficacy was found in case of Almex Vet® (Albendazole) which reduced the EPG count to 62.26% at 28 day. Combined Levamisole and Triclabendazole increased the Hb (gm%) to 18.39% while Albendazole increased to 6.48% at 28 th th day. Combined Levamisole and Triclabendazole increased TEC to 10.158 % while Albendazole increased 3.651% at 28 day on the otherhand combined Levamisole and Triclabendazole reduced TLC 14.34% while Albendazole reduced 8.47% at 28 th day. Combined Levamizole and Triclabendazole increased PCV 8.53% while Albendazole increased 2.28% at 28 th th day. After comparing the mean value of different drugs at 28 day the P-value was found 0.002, 0.009, 0.031, 0.030 and 0.031 in case of EPG count, Hb (gm%) determination, TEC, TLC and PCV respectively, where the significance level was 0.05. From the findings it was clear thatthe mean of three drugs were dissimilar and thereby the Endex® (Levamisole+Triclabendazole) performed better than other two.en_US
